Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer as well as a model and actress. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most famous movies. Growing up in an artistic family located in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of art. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. Her first two movies her name was acknowledged as a winner of an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international smash, and earned her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. With just three movies, she became the top female box-office star worldwide. In 1972 her hand-footprints and signatures were recorded at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among many others. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
